Ignorance is bliss… and a convenient excuse, even in Downing Street.

  2. I see they have released the Chief Gas Lighter himself, Jacob Rees Mogg.

If he ever comes out with an opinion, it’s because he is obscuring the other.

  3. > “The prime minister said he was told the rules were followed but that turns out not to be correct.”

    > “If the prime minister is told information that is incorrect and passes that information on he has made no deliberate attempt to mislead anybody.”

    He made the rules.

He was at parties where he and others broke the rules.

It’s absolutely pathetic to suggest that he should be relying on other people for information as to whether his own actions are breaking the rules that he chose to impose on the country. The rest of us don’t have the option of breaking laws and saying that no one explained the technicalities of our actions to us.

Rees-Mogg knows this, of course. He’s happy to support Boris Johnson’s criminal behaviour because he’s rich, white and powerful. The party who claim to care about “law and order” only care about it when it means the ability oppress people who aren’t like them.

  4. Which part of the narcissists prayer are we on now?

    “That didn’t happen.

And if it did, it wasn’t that bad.

And if it was, that’s not a big deal.

And if it is, that’s not my fault.

And if it was, I didn’t mean it. <—- **we are here**.

And if I did, you deserved it.”

I lied, but I didn’t mean to lie, I was told the wrong information,

    Pitiful

  5. The fundamental problem is Johnson is a lying sack of shit.

The additional problem here is, so is Rees-Mogg.

  6. Is failing to understand the law a legal defence that we peasants are allowed to use or just these arrogant fucks?

  7. And this is why the current cabinet were chosen, to continually make excuses for Johnson in a manner that is designed to placate agitated Tory voters who, let’s face it, just want a reason to love their chosen party again.

The rest of us know it’s all bullshit, they know we know it’s bullshit, but statements like this aren’t for us.

  8. OK, let’s not get bogged down in all these details. They are just muddying the water. There’s been tons of stuff now. Can we just all agree to never vote for any of these lying, self-serving, greedy, thieving, ignorant, incompetent, pernicious, criminal pieces of shit ever again?

  9. Given the wrong information about the parties he was at in his house. This is like some teens in a movie holding a house party while their parents are out and getting caught.

  10. Fuck me. Boris the bullet Dodger. Now that it’s clear this isn’t going away he’s going to start comparing the severity of it to war and poverty at home. And the cherry on top is to suggest lockdown rules were maybe cruel.

This guy and his friends are fucking scumbags

  11. JRM is now just a professional shit stirrer, wheel him out to speak some shite and he gets the flack, once BJ is gone, his political career is effectively over and back to being a very, very odd backbencher, complete walloper

  12. Jacob Reese Mogg has had to do a substantial amount of arse licking to get and keep his position in the cabinet it seems.

  13. I think Theresa May said it best

“So either my right honorable friend had not read the rules, did not understand what they meant and nor did others around him, or they didn’t think the rules applied to No. 10. Which was it?””

  14. Here’s my guess: Johnson has been informed he will be fined. Breaking lockdown laws is not automatically a resigning matter, but lying to parliament is. Johnson being fined contradicts something he said in parliament, hence his apologist JRM saying this.
