  1. I just drove through a very trumpy area. For years it was festooned with gaudy Trump flags, banners, and billboards

Not today. Not one pro-Trump message, but the biggest billboard around had his picture on it with the word, “IMPEACH”.

    It was a beautiful sight

  2. And no one showed up to to Trump’s bday party. Same story with his rallies before the election. How did this clown get elected?

  3. I live in a small red rural Midwest farm town, population 8000. Over 400 people at the rally today. Lots of big boys in old trucks yelling “FUCK YOU” at us. Flipping the bird.

The organizer had taught us our peaceful response: I love you! And to blow kisses

Jaws dropped. They were spoiling for a fight. They got kindness.

    They didn’t like it.

  4. Best part is that the protects were successful and massive. Whereas the felons ego parade was an utter failure and waste of taxpayers money.

  5. So proud of the Real America today!! Great work everybody!! More unity!

  6. Well Trump finally got the big crowds he wanted and on his birthday of all days

  7. Has to be the largest protest in US history. And it was antifascist. Historic to be a part of 🫡

  8. Can anyone find a reliable source with an estimate of the total participation nationwide? I’m seeing a few suggestions of 5M but nothing seems confident or definitive

  9. My son was a organizer at a local protest he was expecting 400-600 ended up about 1300.

  10. If enough republicans realize their political careers are over, maybe they will do the right thing on the way out.

  11. Plan to do this every month
    And get bigger and bigger

  12. Honest question:

What happens when the administration doesn’t give a flying fuck about the protests and continue to do what they’ve been doing, and continue to escalate?

  13. Yeah well…. There were tens of people that showed up to Trump’s military parade. Take that Liberals

  14. I just moved to a light red town. Today on the main road, a “Resist!” Sign popped up on someone’s lawn. And their neighbor’s Trump sign is gone. We’re getting there, people. Keep going.

  15. My little city of Beaverton, OR had a great turnout downtown, there was a band playing, multiple Congresspeople gave speeches, there were kids and American flags everywhere, thousands of people, tons of signs, and only a few cops on bikes riding past. It was beautiful and a carnival atmosphere.

  16. Our state reps are actually using the assassinations with the No Kings “pamphlets” in the car as an excuse that Dems have gone crazy and our governor needs to be removed for supporting the protests. Ignored that it was Dems killed. Ignored that they’re targeting more Dems. Ignored the violent rhetoric of their entire party.

These protests need to keep happening. We have to push through every bit of bullshit they spew. It can’t be a one and done thing.

  17. Well my FB is full of posts claiming these were a flop with 25 people max. Also people arguing the US has no king and trump has stated “he is no king”; ie completely missing the point that he is trying to act like a king, but am obvious rhetoric from Trump’s questioning where he said if he were a king he’d have an easier time doing things. Like it’s amazing to me that people are literally unaware of the point entirely and they literally think the left thinks he is a king, rather than someone who treats everything like he is a king who shouldn’t be questioned.

  18. Fear is changing sides, as the French say.

Trumpists are on the backfoot. Press the advantage.

  19. I feel like a significant amount of people have shown their opinion on the current state of this country and I would like to finally see the media reflecting that instead of constantly translating Trump-speak, caving to his press secretary instantly, and acting like even 15% of the people he’s put into his cabinet have relevant qualifications.

  20. Good! And let’s not stop here. Let’s meet everything he does with this level of resistance.

Everyone – we have to take today and SUSTAIN it! Keep it going for weeks. The system will crumble if we can sustain.

  21. GOP House Reps better be looking at these crowds. They aren’t just happening in Blue states and only in Blue districts. This is nationwide coast to coast rebuttal of the trump regime. I dunno if we’ll get to the mid term elections but if they happen it’s not gonna be a Blue wave but a Blue tsunami.

  22. Midterms next year. Show up and fucking vote out the people who were on the other side of history today. Then do it in 2028. they use bullets. We use votes

    *** words

  23. I live in a very red area of Ohio. Small town still managed 175 people and we got to watch a trump fan get a fat ticket after he tryed to scare people with the roll coal mating call

  24. Our national news (nos, in the Netherlands) mentions “hundreds and thousands of protesters, nothing about millions.
Also nothing about attendance at the parade/bbday bash.
When will the press start taking a stand?

  25. Wow, protests *can* actually happen in the USA after I’ve been told for months that it’s too hard.

  26. Nae king! Nae quin! Nae laird! Nae master! We willna’ be fooled again!

  27. My sleepy suburb showed up significantly stronger than expected. It was inspiring honestly. Great vibes and sense of togetherness. Really much needed

  28. It’s a great start and it gives us, your Northern neighbours, hope. However, the toughest part that people need to understand, is that it won’t take a single day rally. That it will take people taking to the streets and staying there and refusing to go until real changes happen. That it might get ugly and violent, and the further down the line it happens – the worse it will be.

  29. Fox News is all over social media posting pictures before and after the protests suggesting that they had low turnout. The one I went to here in Texas had well probably upwards of 2000 people, but Fox showed up before the starting time and got pics of like 20 or so people, and their audience is eating it up.

  30. Yay! Wonderful news!

Surely, *this* protest will stop Trump dead in his tracks, yes? He can’t ignore such a powerful message, or the will of the people!

Wait, what’s that? Oh, you mean he doesn’t give half a dried shit about what anyone in the nation thinks of him as long as he gets to call the shots still and have the other two co-equal branches of government bending over backwards to kiss his fat disgusting ass and let him behave like a king anyway?

Until we get anti-Vietnam-level, Civil Rights Movement-level marches down the middle of the National Mall in DC, surrounding the Capital on all sides 50,000 people deep in every direction, nobody in this fascist anti-American illegitimate (14th Amendment makes this clear) administration is even going to bat an eye at protests in other cities; dictators do.not.care.

  31. Nice! Now, did anyone manage to collectively agree on a list of demands, or organize a coalition to intimidate the powers that control the mechanisms in place?

If not, this was a nice gesture, but the media is complicit and the democrats have tied their hands behind their back. Something’s gotta give.

  32. I live in a tiny rural town of about 3500 in a red state, and over 150 turned up. That’s past the magic number.
