It is reported that at 4 a.m. on June 14, GUR agents drained the coolant from the transformer and set it on fire. As a result, the power supply was cut off, and the losses of the aggressor country are estimated at almost $5 million.

  1. I wouldn’t be standing there. That oil insulates just as much as it cools

  2. Nobody gonna mention the fact that they hit Kaliningrad? This brings a new dimension to the whole thing. Was it preemtive, before the Russians do something about the Suwalki-Gap?!

  3. Any electricians on here? If the transformer overheats due to lack of insulation/ cooling oil, will it send a voltage spike downstream and damage other electrical installations connected to the substation?

  4. The fun thing is that bringing replacements to Kaliningrad is hard

  5. I hope none of those guys got the coolant oil on them, it will absolutely fuck you up. Damaged skin barrier for life

  6. Great to the the GUR spreading their wings again. Another target rich region worthy of far more attention. Hopefully this is just the opening move.

  7. Genius, draining the coolant is devious. Who knew there’s coolant in those things? Teeheee im sure every one does.

  8. Wow! They must have been using jet fuel on that metal! Lol
