🥺 A Ukrainian soldier from Mariupol — before and after three years of Russian captivity. The photo was shared by Shaun Pinner — a former British soldier who fought for Ukraine, was captured by Russian forces in 2022, and later released.

  1. … my first thought is that the man looks like he got out of Auschwitz just before being marched into a gas chamber.

    Like holy shit.

  2. Post isn’t about Poland. You can go post it somwhere else.

  3. How is it related to Poland?

And don’t give me this bullshit “ukraine is fighting for you so that you don’t have to.”, oh shut up! We also border with Belarus and Russia.

  4. Yet another reason that illustrates why kacapy should be hated.

  5. And some pepple still say that Russia isn’t the agressor.

That man looks just as the people that were in Auschwitz its very sad

Imagine what touture he had to go through to look like this But still manages to smile.

  6. Are they just doing this also on purpose to weaken them for possible redeployment? I mean rehabilitating after such starvation, with muscle atrophy and everything, although i think russians probably dont think that far they are just assholes…. Completely inhumane, i hope they get what they deserve in the end

  7. Thank god he is back I wish him and all the brave soldiers good luck and thank you for fighting for the entire world!

  8. I met a guy this spring in Köln who truly believed that Russia is only after Ukrainian neo-nazis, and Ukraine and Baltic states should just understand that Russia needs those lands more. Makes my blood boil every time I think about it.

  9. So what of it? He can deem himself lucky that he got away with only losing his fat cheeks instead of perishing on the battlefield (Why should the Russians give the POWs more than the minimum they need to survive anyway?). The same goes for the british mercenary who fought alongside him. The Russians could have simply shot him on the spot instead of bothering with him any further, because mercenaries don’t have to be treated the same way as regular soldiers. The Geneva Conventions do not apply to them (I mean the mercenaries, not the Russians) anyway….

  10. Lean enough to start building muscle.

Trying to look on the bright side.

  11. She was hot before he left . Now he is skinny and she is fat .

  12. Amount of ukrainian propaganda on reddit is crazy these days.
