As an Achnaha boy, my summers were spent walking out the wee island at low tide and digging for lug worms and spoots. We called it bird island because it was covered in gull shit, and I mean 6 inches of not always completely dried guana, that would squish between your toes if you were particularly unlucky.
Spotted your video and thought about a wee visit this weekend before heading back home. Cheapest digs are in Strontian £120 a night. Crazy that many folk can’t afford to holiday in their own homeland. For example we’re in D&G until the weekend and it’s £60 a night for 2 and a dug…
