after nearly a week of demonstrations in Los Angeles the protests are spreading new York Las Vegas San Antonio Spokane Dallas and Austin across the United States Americans are gathering to voice their anger over Donald Trump’s hardline immigration policies carrying banners that read “Abolish ICE now and immigrants are welcome protesters want the US president to cease his escalation of nationwide anti-immigration raids.” They’re protesting detainments like this one immigration officers entering workplaces and homes detaining asylum seekers migrants who’ve overstayed their visas or those waiting for their final approvals in immigration court the raids have shaken communities and broken up families with parents suddenly being held in detention centers my father was supposed to see my sister Brady today something Hashid said is something he worked so hard for the flash point of the protest Los Angeles is now under a nightly curfew on Wednesday police and riot gear charged a group of protesters chasing them away from federal buildings yet beyond these brief clashes and curfew arrests the protests remain largely peaceful with dancing and music dozens of LA area mayors are also demanding that Donald Trump cease intensifying the raids the mayor of Los Angeles had a message for Donald Trump well yeah that I want to speak to the president and that uh I want him to understand the significance of what is happening here the state of California is challenging in court Donald Trump’s deployment of the military to help immigration agents the number of National Guards in LA is expected to double to 4,000 and the president has said they’ll be joined by hundreds of Marines meanwhile protesters vow to continue to fight for their communities many are planning more of what they’re calling anti-king protests for Saturday to coincide with Donald Trump’s military parade

Protests over hardline immigration tactics ignited across the United States after days of demonstrations in Los Angeles, as California prepared Thursday for a legal showdown over President Donald Trump’s deployment of the military. More than 1,000 people massed Wednesday in America’s second biggest city, for a sixth day of protests, with the crowd peaceful as they marched through the streets.

    Families get separated every day when a criminal parent goes to jail.
    That just makes them crappy parents.

  2. Protesting is accepted in many societies around the world especially in USA where it's our 1st right for legal US Citizens. It's a problem when it's becomes violent or nuisance to people not involved in the event. Our Commander in Chief has to step in since it has become destructive to the public. These people are upset because illegal immigrants are being sent back home immediately losing their case to stay in USA.

  11. I completely understand the anti-illegal immigration! 100% I also understand that even the legal immigration/asylum seeking has gone over the top too! Trump and the far right clowns are the result of this. People should take the responsibility for the current state of social and financial problems in the entire Western world, dont pretend that it has nothing to do with immigration that is completely out of the hands! Im not against immigration, I myself have lived in different countries… however there has to be a clear limit and cultures, social systems, finance of these countries that are taking in immigrants have to be preserved and balanced otherwise people end up like THIS! I traveled elsewhere because I liked and respected their culture and tbh also because I benefited from doing so! The little I can do is to try to integrate better. If not then either sh*t up or leave.
    This being said, I can't agree with the WAY Trump and his kind are going about it. He is destroying the markets, following silly economic advisors, politically embarrassing the US, not concentrating on the foundation issues – education and support for women and young families etc. His heavy handed approaches to everything are extremely unintelligent, weak, and are not in any way targeting the core issues. These people will come back anyways once the government changes and all what the US gets out of it is a damaged reputation.

  13. Trump tried to put down protests in 2020 using ICE, which only escalated and entrenched protestors. So he sent the military this time. Dude just doesn't get it. Americans don't back down.

  19. It's VERY simple, you are either in the country LEGALLY or ILLEGALLY. Why don't people understand this ???? It makes no difference if you are working and paying your taxes. That doesn't justify illegal immigration. We have the same huge problem here in this UK 🇬🇧

These protests will boost Trump's standing, rally support behind him and paper over any cracks within administration including the fallout of musk with the president. Aggression is the hallmark of Trump 2.0. He is bullying governments around the globe to align with his interests. He is using the same template at home too.

  22. Well, there's a very clear catch 22 being set up in LA there with the curfew.

    They set up a curfew, & then place themselves in front of apartments & homes blocking entryways. So you're required to go home, but they prevent you from going home. Its all a shxtty game they're playing for the express purpose of claiming the superficially raised crime rates via curfew/touching an officer.

    It's absolutely stupid & everyone will know because it's all on video footage of them doing it. Everyone will know that crime rate statistics that don't exclude these instances are falsely inflated.
