god I wish that was me
here’s some filler because I can’t even make a joke without reddit getting on my case. Teams is terrible and runs like shit.
good riddance, fking microsoft teams is dogshit and the shittier cloud thing i forgot the name acts like a blackmail program locking your own files away on your device. I’m not even sure how they thought that was a good thing to do.
Really hope legislation on things like that actually come to the forefront and stop allowing companies to just release those sort of “malware” as an app.
Slack is so much better, god I hate being stuck with teams. I like the rest of the suite, but people use teams because you buy the whole suite and Microsoft doesn’t have to make it good.
Yea teams blows, but I never liked using LibreOffice during my time in Grad school. Better than Microsoft stealing government data though. Not sure why any government would use first party software from Microsoft or apple. Can’t trust these rats.
One of the biggest, if not the biggest, problem in Europe’s economy today is that it surprisingly has no presence in the tech ecosystem.
Google. Facebook. Twitter. Reddit. All American.
Now, there is a argument for being skeptical of non-physical objects and their actual impact.
But you would at least expect Europe to have some presence. Russia and China both have their own versions of all those things.
Europe’s persistent attempts to regulate the tech giants is driven by their inability to influence that industry in any other way.
However, I doubt Europe would be able to catch up. Not for lack of trying or skill but simply they are shackled by a peculiar free market neoliberal religion.
Just like with manufacturing, the tech industry requires serious government involvement, funding and direction.
The Treaty of Rome bans any real government intervention in *new* market activities to protect the “free” movement of capital.
This is still why Europe hasn’t caught up despite having way more advantages.
Europe would also need heavy government investment in corresponding infrastructure; fiber optic networks, etc.
Teams sucks, both MSFTs and Ciscos. We switched over to [Workchat.fun](http://Workchat.fun) and like it – it’s simple and can use it across our partners too.
