Princess Eugenie is celebrating Father’s Day sans her disgraced dad, Prince Andrew. The working royal posted a cute tribute to her husband, Jack Brooksbank, for the holiday.

Princess Eugenie posted several Instagram stories of her husband embracing their kids, August and Ernest, on a beach boardwalk as well as a video of him holding hands with his sons through an airport. In a photo Instagram story, she wrote in the caption, “Happy Father’s Day, Dada!”

The news comes after reports of Prince William wanting to ostracize her father Prince Andrew from the Royal Family. “Prince William has long had a strained and distant relationship with Andrew,” British royal expert Hilary Fordwich told Fox News in May 2025, adding that William has “a grudge against his disgraced uncle.”

Her father’s involvement with convicted sexual predator Jeffrey Epstein blundered his reputation. The son of Queen Elizabeth resigned from his public roles with the royal family in May 2020, and had his honorary military affiliations and royal charitable patronages removed by his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, in January 2022. He was also a defendant in a civil sexual assault lawsuit filed by Virginia Giuffre in New York State.

While Princess Eugenie and her sister Princess Beatrice are said to become “valuable assets” to their cousin once he becomes King, they are still in touch with their father. In late 2024, a source told Hello! magazine, “The girls take the grandchildren to visit him most weekends,” a source told the outlet. “They are spending far more time with him now than they have done in recent years.” The anonymous source continued, “They are quite close to their father; they seem to be quite protective towards him.”

However, William is staunch in his opinion of his uncle. Fordwich said, “[William is] very in touch with the public. Every public opinion poll has Andrew at the bottom, reinforcing Prince William’s stance. Once king, no doubt, Prince William will ensure Andrew is completely excluded from royal life, as well as all public appearances.”

“King Charles is said to be fed up with ‘the Andrew problem,’ although he has a softer approach to his brother as he is family,” Chard said. “Prince William, however, has never been a fan of his uncle. He has no time for him. Allegedly, he was also disappointed that Andrew did not welcome his wife into the family with open arms all those years ago.”
