‘Don’t care what she said’: Trump disses his own national intelligence director

  1. From the article: President Donald Trump dismissed an assessment on Iran’s nuclear capabilities made by his own director of national intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, when asked about the situation on his way back to Washington from the G7 summit in Alberta, Canada.

    Trump left the summit early on Monday, citing the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran that’s raged for five days over Iran’s development of nuclear weapons.

    Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One that he was seeking “a real end” to the conflict, “not a ceasefire.”

    “So, something that will be permanent?” a reporter asked Trump.

    “Yeah, or giving up entirely, that’s okay, too,” Trump answered. “A complete ‘give up.’ That’s possible, yeah.”

    CNN’s Kaitlan Collins asked Trump about DNI Gabbard’s testimony in March about the imminence of an Iranian nuclear threat.

    “You’ve always said that you don’t believe Iran should be able to have a nuclear weapon, but how close do you personally think that they were to getting one?” Collins asked.

    Trump answered, “Very close.”

    “Because Tulsi Gabbard testified in March that the intelligence community said Iran wasn’t building a nuclear weapon,” Collins continued.

Remember how Powell lied at the UN about how Hussein was crafting WMD in vans that we couldn’t track so we must bomb Baghdad? How people were shouting to let the UN Inspectors do their job but W wouldn’t let them? All lies. Hundreds of thousands dead.

  13. Remember when he took Putin’s word that he hadn’t interfered with our elections, refused to have a USA translator, destroyed the translator’s notes, and put Putin over US intelligence agencies?

  14. And he’ll use a Sharpie to draw circles on a map to try to prove his point – the map will probably be of Australia, given Trump has no clue where Iran is. What a pathetic oaf.

  16. Something to wrap our heads around: Neither Trump nor Gabbard is being honest, but Gabbard is being truthful.

    No one in the Trump cabinet is working in the best interests of the US. Most are working for Israel. Another group is working for Qatar. Another for Saudi Arabia. And then you have the ones working for Russia. Gabbard is with the latter. She does not want war with Iran because Russia doesn’t want the US to go to war with Iran, not because it would be a disaster for the US (which it totally would be).

    Trump, as always, is for sale to the highest bidder, and only listens to the last person to talk to him. Qatar, which also doesn’t want war with Iran, made a good go at him with that plane, but Israel will always have the deepest pockets, and they consequently have the furthest reach into his cabinet. Israel has been making the case for war for years, and now they know exactly what it takes to get Trump to join.
