When you’re 32 and realise you can just buy yourself a slushie

  1. Good choice of colours as well, our local shop has orange as a option but I’m not mixing that in.

  2. Wait until you realise you can _buy_ a slushie maker for about £20!

  3. Bit late but you got it. You can also eat ice cream for all 3 meals which is useful in this weather

  4. Or buy the ninja slushie maker and have them all year round ! :).

  5. Careful mate, that’s a slippery slope. My mate had the exact same idea once they realised they could buy themselves whatever food they wanted. One thing led to another and before long they bought an entire supermarket birthday cake to eat instead of dinner, just because they could.

  6. If you poured it, always put the lid on first then fill through the hole, look how much extra space there is😆

  7. I bought a tango ice blast for £4.50 a few months back, still haven’t recovered.

  8. I saw my local coop had actual, branded “Slush Puppies” the other day. I was so excited. I still haven’t bought one, just in case they are better left in my memory

  9. It does feel good buying a slush randomly, especially a mixed one

  10. Walked to my local One Stop convenience store which I haven’t been to in a couple of months to grab a slushie, they had both Ice Blast and Slush Puppie machines before, went in and the machines were gone and replaced with new self checkout terminals. Gutted. Bought a box of Calippos instead 😂 Going to look in to getting a Ninja slushie maker instead.

  11. The only downside was the paper straw really struggled after about 5 minutes. Damn turtles.

  12. One of my local cinemas used to do Slushie Yards (like a ‘yard of ale’ but colder and nicer).

That’s exactly the sort of thing my mum would never have ( / couldn’t have afforded to) let me spaff money on, so I consistently had one of those and a ludicrous amount of overpriced pick ‘n’ mix every time I went to watch something crap at the pictures.

Jizzing your own money away on any old shit is one of life’s pleasures. Like the rest of them, it’s best to keep it moderated or you’ll end up as the tramp with the least believable sob story (and diabetes), but no-one would begrudge anyone a slushie now and then.

  13. I went to a gas station today and they didn’t have a slushy machine…😭😭😭😭

  14. Birthday cake just becomes cake when you realise you can buy it whenever you fancy!

  15. We all have these moments at some point or another. Mine was in my 20s when I realised there was nothing stopping me from buying an entire cheesecake and eating it with a plastic fork on the bus home. Damn, those were the days.

  16. But as an adult it’s practically impossible to drink one without excruciating brain freeze after each slurp

  17. My most memorable slushie was when I was 21. I was waiting for a bus home from a summer job when I got an email through to say that I’d been approved for funding for my Masters. I was absolutely ecstatic but at a bus station so all I could find was a slushie to celebrate with so that’s what I did

  18. Very colourful! There’s a shop near me that sells monster energy ones. it’s sooooo good I drink em all year round tbh

  19. I always get a slushie at the ice cream truck since I’m lactose intolerant and cant have Mr Whippy, adulthood is great

  20. You can just walk into a supermarket, or a cake shop, and buy a birthday cake.

They don’t check your ID for your DOB or nothin’.

You can just walk in buy one.

  21. Add some vodka for a lovely refreshing slushie cocktail.
