A Russian soldier surrendered to a drone of the 63rd Brigade. Just before surrendering, he showed the drone’s camera a leaflet calling for surrender, which Ukrainian fighters had recently scattered around the area. Lyman direction. [Published 17.06.2025]

  1. Now start that massively and fight with the support of Ukraine 🇺🇦 independence…

  2. Fantastic news, no unnecessary deaths and a pawn that can be exchanged for Ukrainian pow’s.

  3. Lucky he was not spotted surrendering by his “allies”

  4. You know from his looks, I think he’s just another gamer, taken from their homes with guns pointed at their heads and forced to serve.

God, why do we have abhorrent leaders at our time.

  5. Smart move. Saw a video earlier today of an orc burning to death that took over 10min.

  6. Good on the lad. As long as he hadn’t signed up just to kill Ukrainians and found out his own people are the evil here.

  7. notice how he takes the leaflet out of his deep pocket (0:27) obviously hiding it there to avoid getting detected by his superiors – means his intent was likely decided earlier but the ultimate confrontation with the drone ordnance enforced his decision making. Which seems to make his decision even more remarkable, telling us it is possible to conclude the right thing.

  8. Dude decided to not be a drunken idiot for a change. Good choice

  9. That was the least dramatic surrender I’ve seen. Walks up, checks him out, grabs the rifle “aight, let’s go”.

  10. Does anyone remember that one Russian soldier, this was summer of 2022 if I recall correctly. (May be wrong on the date) but he surrendered and joined the Ukrainian unit as a mechanic or something like that. I always wonder what happened to him.

  11. Ukraine has seriously good, compassionate soldiers and excellent strategists in command. This is how you win hearts & minds and continue to get aid flowing to Ukraine. My advocacy for Ukraine here in the USA is reinforced when I see stuff like this.

Leaflet drops from drones is genius.

  12. The stark difference between Ukraine POW capture and a Russian one. It’s mind blowing that an educated person could support the Orks.

  13. Good lad, I hope he lives a long and happy life away from tyrants.

  14. I hope they dont send him back for exchange, he deserves better i guess

  15. The last one surrender I watched, the soldier was killed by a Russian drone while surrendering. Horrible.

  16. I wonder how the drone signals to the surrending guy that he should follow.
