  1. Ah – The Best Album In The World…Ever!….4

Guess 1 through 3 weren’t then? 3 was my first

  2. I’m trying to guess the year based on the tracks. Haven’t heard “the one” by the levellers in donkeys years, still remember it. Guessing 1996. Only by remembering where I was when I could hear Alright by cast.

Damn. 1996. Remember it like yesterday. Where did all those years go?

  3. And we know him as our vicar and by night a part time stripper and the vicar got suspended in his stocking and suspenders…

  4. Man, you don’t see many comp albums with the Levellers on it. Gonna have to blast What a beautiful day later

  5. Radio X have a “radio X 90s” station at the moment with no talk, just 90s songs. I’m absolutely living my best life every night at work.

  6. Watched The World is Not Enough last night and Goldie was in that.

Disappears for 25 years and now I’ve had two Goldie encounters.

  7. That’s got 1996 written all over it.

Some great tunes there I haven’t heard since forever. Nostalgia overload.

  8. Well OP, you’ve made this 49 year old feel 19 again and for that, I thank you.

Interesting, Orange Crush is currently playing on the radio.

All the best from Newcastle (and 1995 it seems)

  9. My favourite compilation album, I had just moved out on my own for the 1st time and can remember driving around in my old F reg Fiesta with this album blasting

    Good times.

  10. The shine ones were excellent as well. I have some of them on CD still

  11. Literally exactly what the main Absolute Radio station plays every day

  12. I’ve got an album on Plex called “The Dogs…!” which has the vast majority of those songs just in a different order, but with the excellent addition of Dark Therapy by Echobelly.

I think it may be my most-played album.

  13. Amazing – those were the days.

I really miss the 90s…what a great time to be a teenager. 🥲

  14. I remember this. I have it on cd somewhere. I now feel old.

  15. Reminds me of the compilation tapes that would come free with the NME and Melody Maker.
