Spotted in big Tesco on western avenue (Cardiff). Want to hear people’s thoughts on this, especially given that the Welsh women have qualified for the euros for the first time.

  1. I would complain, to lucozade and Tesco, and blast it across social media.

  2. I had no idea, next. But maybe you want this kind of reply ? “It truly signifies the progression of women in sport, it truly is a landmark moment and all women should be proud !” how about that ?

  3. Lucozade don’t sponsor Wales though? There’s lots of English people in Cardiff as well so there are more egregious things about

  4. Lucozade is an official sponsor of the England team… I don’t see a problem with the only home nation that is sponsored by Lucozade to use them in promotion in a home nation.

I’m 100% sure it would be the Wales team on there of they were sponsored by them.

Feels like its something to get angry about for the sake of it. If you’re bothered by it, maybe support the team yourself and contact Lucozade to change it in the future.

  5. I don’t understand how this is anyway prejudiced.

    It’s a sponsor…

  6. What’s supposed to be the deal here?

Edit: Made the mistake of looking at the sign without my glasses. Put them on blast for this, obviously unacceptable.

  7. LBH…The 2 most supported teams in Wales are both English…Liverpool & Man U

  8. Reminds me of that British Airways tweet wishing England luck against Wales in the Six Nations.

Just don’t display it in another country. That simple. Promote our country and nothing else.

  9. Display it in England, no idea what the hell it’s doing in Wales.

It seems a bit tone-deaf considering that the Welsh women’s football team has qualified for the Euros. Do we have a food and drinks sponsor that we could put there instead, to represent the Welsh team?

  10. I’m 6ft 7, I’ll drape a Welsh flag over the 3 lions when I get back off my holidays. The revolution starts here!

  11. I couldn’t name a single player on either team

    I don’t drink Lucazade

    I won’t watch a game

I don’t want to meet either team

I’m not bothered – perhaps mildly amused

  12. I’m English and can’t really understand it, why ?

I want us all to well and England to beat Wales in the final but that’s just me – it’s just football

  13. and? some people like to make a bit of drama don’t they

  14. Guess I wont be buying lucozade for a while

    Edit:
    #/s

To help those that need it

  15. Unpopular, but I don’t care.

I support it, just glad that women in sports are being recognised. Yes it’s the English team, but considering no one has given a toss about women’s football until very recently, I’d consider it a win (for all women, not quite for Wales yet)

  16. I honestly can’t get upset about a Lucozade advert, there’s enough to be cross about in the world which is much more deserving

  17. I think to a lot of people England and Britain are synonymous

  18. “Looking forward to the football” – Rishi “Sky TV” Sunak

  19. My thoughts are someone didn’t think things through properly both at head office and in store

The Welsh and Scots are constantly overlooked and ignored by the English and it’s not ok

  20. Sorry if I’m wrong, but the British and Irish lions are more a united kingdom team than just an English team. Or at least that’s how my brother taught me about them.

  21. National promotion.. but agree possibly shouldn’t be In welsh stores
