  1. This is why you need to be so careful with how you vote. Remember this in the next election. Whoever you vote represents you and your country on the world stage.

  2. At the 2019 European Parliament elections, she was elected for the Dublin constituency. She received a final total of 87,770 votes, or 11.6%, and took the third seat.

Plenty of blame to go around.

  3. she’s an elected representative of our country unfortunately and while she might mumble some acknowledgements of the brutal russian invasion, she’s also against helping the ukranians defend themselves, which is in itself just a cowardly way of backing russia.

  4. Pisses me off because this is taken as our opinion and as a representation of “Western Europeans”

She’s a moron and most of us despise her and the speech she gave

  5. She has stated she is against the Russian invasion. But she is right to question if sending more advanced military technology and equipment is the right move. Tbh with countries in central europe and eastern europe it is hard to see a scenario where more conflict isnt more common in the future and not just with Russia

  6. I was impressed with what followed immediately after. Some guy getting angry, storming out, but before leaving about facing and giving the Nazi Salute.

  7. I hope he realises that we think they’re a bunch of fucking gobshites too

Shame on us for electing them, and shame on the gobshites on here and on r/Irishpolitics defending them

Ukraine is the victim here, they deserve our support

  8. Right, someone’s got to run against them. I’m fat, opinionated and harmless – sure why not give it a go.

  9. Big discussion I have heard is that sanctions are not working, just making it hard for EU citizens and Russian citizens.

Daly sounds like she is worried about Russian civillians here and it looks shite considering how man Ukrainian civillians died.

Sanctions are doing for war what Lockdowns did for Covid.

  10. We’re not fans of them either. Honestly we just need to get better politicians because it seems like we’re becoming isolated from other countries that are bordering current and former superpowers

  11. Wait what? Why the fuck would any Irish person side with Russia, who invaded a neighboring country and is attempting to erase their national identity because of some misplaced sense of “ownership”?

    Fucking Christ

  12. Honestly we’re stuck with these tools at least for a bit longer…. just need to make sure these Tankies are sacked come EU election time. They’re a national embarrassment right now.

  13. Is she representing the position of the people who voted for her?

Because if not then she’s not fit for purpose.
    You’re there as a representative.
