  2. To anyone getting these letters, please go to “ChilliJohnCarni” and “The Black Belt Barrister” channels on YouTube as they have extensive and useful information about these things and what to do when you get them.

  3. Context: He let them into his house and the TV licence inspector guy lied about what they saw (apparently)

    The courts said not guilty, due to TV licensing having no evidence, but TV licensing didn’t agree so defied the court and continued to threaten further legal action.

    legal action needs taken against them.

  5. I haven’t had a TV licence for about 6 years now. Hardly watch TV and when I do, it’s Netflix/ Amazon. I still get a monthly threatening letter from TV Licensing. Which is nice as I hardly get any mail these days, keeps the posties going if nothing else

  6. You know what’s funny ? I had a letter the other day saying that a visit has been authorized or some crap, I went onto the tv license website and went through the form to say I don’t need a license, I ticked ‘No’ to every option and it still told me I needed a tv license lol

  7. The funny thing is they could fund extremely good programs with the estimated £7 million it costs them to send out letters annually.

  9. i have not paid for a license in my lifetime, i do not watch tv(its utter shite) they send me a letter every 2-3 years asking if i watch tv, i go online and declare no license needed, left alone for another 2/3 years

  11. Don’t need a tv license as I just watch netflix and prime.

    But I know the day is coming. They will try to charge it for a tv license for watching streaming services.

    So they’ll expect you to pay for the streaming service(s) (which keep putting the price up) and tv license.

    Squeeze every penny out of the people, and let billionaires and millionaires dodge as much tax as they can.

  15. I’m apparently going to be prosecuted because I haven’t bought a TV license 3 weeks into moving in to my new house. An “officer” is coming.

    Weird they call me “homeowner” – not sure how they’ll prosecute Mr. Homeowner.
