Hi, I’m Levin, 15. For my school project, I made a 7 min video showing Switzerland in four parts: landscapes, cities, culture and science.
I filmed it myself with a drone and iPhone over a week, visiting Bern, Zermatt, Lucerne, Basel and much more cities. In total over 30 filming locations in 7 days!!
My goal: share Switzerland’s beauty. It was tough but totally worth it.
I’d love your feedback as I’m just starting out!

Nice Job !!!
Good for you man, I think you did a pretty good job. You‘ll get a good grade, I‘m sure of it
That looks very professional. Well done!
I live here but I need to get out way more 0_o
Thanks for reminding a me that there is so much to see that I have not seen. That shot with the train is awesome!
Outstanding job, hope you get a great grade!
I think it’s pretty cool for a school project. Since you asked for feedback I’ll give my two cents^^
1. The copyright label on the bottom is huge and pretty tacky, I’d probably remove it, or if you really need to protect your drone footage make it a lot smaller. You also have your name to often and long in the video, it’s good to have it in the intro and outro, but I’d reduce the screentime. Also greetings to your parents can be done in the description or as a caption. I wouldn’t have the narrator say it out loud for a 7minute video.
2. The music is okay but way too loud and sometimes doesn’t really fit the visuals. I get it, you like the weeknd, but he doesn’t fit switzerland or the flow of the camera. I’d go with something more lowkey. Oh, and turn the volume down, I know you have watched the video 500 times when editing and know exactly what the narrator is saying, but for the first time viewer we don’t want to have the music to loud.
3. I’m pretty sure flying over the government building in bern is illegal, even if the geo-fencing of your drone allows for it. Generally the drone footage is pretty cool and you get better at flying with practice! Most clips are already pretty smooth.
4. Sometimes the jumps between the cities/locations are a bit abrupt or weird. For example at 4:13 the narrator is still talking about Lucerne but the video shows Geneva. I’d have gone for a more coherent storyline, north to south, old to new or something like that. Why are we going to Zurich from Bern? You could have also structured the narrator a bit closer to the locations. Showing ETH at the end again, talking about chocolate, showing a watch, the alphorns, this could all have been talked about in the respective cantons or somewhere where it would have fit geographically instead of summarizing it at the end.
5. Again about the storyline, at 4:37 we go from Basel to Lausanne and the music changes to something which gets the viewer to expect something interesting is going to happen, I think it’s the wrong music choice.
6. Lastly, something more technical. Next time you’re exporting/rendering a video try to check the framerate. The video almost seems to stutter from time to time, I believe it’s because the framerate of the camera/video footage interferes with the framerate of the exported video. This should be easily fixable in most editing software.
So a lot of critizism, but I wanted to add, it’s a pretty good video for a school project. I don’t think mine were as good at your age (but we also didn’t have drones or 4k iPhone cameras^^). If you keep doing videos like that you’ll get pretty good quickly, so keep it going! I’d give it a grade 6 😉
The autogenerated narrator voice spoils it to me. I would much prefer to hear your authentic self, not a fake perfection.
Otherwise, agreed with all points raised by others. Great job overall, and even more to learn from it.
Good work Levin!
Nice! Did you need a special permit for flying a drone near the Bundeshaus?
