XR protests enter fourth day as oil facility near Heathrow blocked

  1. Whether or not people people agree with the methods, protesting to avoid the worst possible affects of climate change on the next generation is something everyone should want.

    Some of the climate projection models put large parts of equatorial areas into an almost unliveable range with temperatures extremes.

    It’s not a matter of whether we “can” (the science and engineering says we can) build ourselves enough low carbon (nuclear included) and renewable energy sources to decarbonise, it’s a matter of political leadership.

  2. That’s right, push up the heating and transport costs of ordinary working people whilst rich people, who overwhelmingly pollute more, can brush of the price hike. A really vote winner here.

  3. Turns out a lot of people would rather condemn the next generation to a catastrophe than pay more to fill up their car.

    We deserve everything we get.
