Collaborator, state traitor, and war criminal Mykhailo Hrytsay was shot dead in occupied Berdyansk on June 18, 2025. He was born in Poltava region, and lived in Berdyansk. He was the head of the Socialist Ukraine party branch before the invasion. After Russians occupied the city in 2022, he voluntarily went to cooperate with invaders, and received a position in the occupation administration: he was an acting mayor, and at the same time deputy for infrastructure, housing, and utilities, fuel, and energy complex. De facto plundered the state property in the interests of Muscovites. He was involved in war crimes: terrorized population of the city, betrayed pro-UA citizens to Russians, and participated in torture activities.
