Equinor announces that production has started at the 65 MW Ingerslev Å solar site in Jutland, Denmark.

The project is operated by BeGreen, a wholly owned subsidiary of Equinor, and is the first asset to be commissioned by the entity since its acquisition in 2023.

The plant, consisting of more than 100,000 solar panels and six transformer stations, was built in less than a year. It is expected to produce around 68 GWh per year. The electricity will be marketed by Danske Commodities.

With this launch, Equinor’s four subsidiaries active in onshore renewables and storage now have assets in production, the company said.
