Is she wrong?

  1. Yes

    >how is buying American oil going to stop the war

Well if russia can’t export shit they cant get money to pay fir the war

Essentially the idea is to strangle the Russian economy and make it economicly unsustainable fir Russia to continue the war

  2. I’ve seen snippets of this. What is her solution to the unprovoked war in Ukraine? Would she prefer the west send in military? Ukraine didn’t ask for the war and sanctions seem to be the best non-violent means of retaliating. Violent retaliation or doing nothing seem like the only other options available. Has Clare suggested another approach?

  3. She’s right when she says sanctions have never worked. Politicians demanding sanctions anyway are doing so merely for the PR, and in some cases for the excuse to fuck with Russia.

I’m not saying I know what would help de-escalate the war either but that doesn’t mean you just shrug and do something you know doesn’t work, especially when you know what you’re doing will impact upon innocent civilians.

  4. It boils down to what you believe what the media is putting out.

A quick rewind on our own covid situation.

Different topic I know but for a reason.

The taoiseach blamed unvaccinated people on spreading covid,

It could have sparked civil unrest

    It certainly did online

    And it’s still rumbling on.

Don’t always believe what you hear.

To this day there was not one healthy debate on covid worldwide.

    Why
