7. Ministers set out plans to enrich private shareholders to the tune of 725bn over 10 years, in return for about 5bn worth of new roads delivered  in about 15 years.

10. Cos Tories didn’t show they believed in British people. They always outsourced. Labour showing they care.

11. Thank god we are going to save 3.5bn by starving the disabled then.

    How can Labour get it all so wrong, this announcement should be fantastic but all it makes me think about is how we are able to free up money for everything except the most deprived.

    Every good news article is completely overshadowed by Labours own self harm.

15. And the contractors will go ‘we will dig a hole but then need 6 months of rest in our vans on site before next bit, that will be 10 billion please.

16. I wonder how much of it will be wasted on consultant fees. Labours heart is in the right place, bureaucracy and red tape will ensure this doesn’t get executed as well as it potentially can.

17. If it’s anything like HS2 the 725bn will end up as a cycle lane from Oxford to Swindon.

18. Government can’t even build HS2 but I fully support infrastructure investments.

19. I’m always baffled by the kinds of people who take news like this and just vomit negativity.

    Can one of you actually articulate what kind of news about infrastructure spending would actually make you happy for once?

20. So like… Yeah we’re doing infrastructure things, great awesome amazing…

    But what about the £22b black hole?

22. Our government agents servants spend our tax money on our country,shock horror.

23. They have to make up for a decade and a half of lack of investment… at a time when the interest would have been lower so it would have been cheaper. Doubly unforgivable by the traitory party.
