Israeli government still has ‘large list’ of targets in Iran • FRANCE 24 English
that a view of what the situation is in Iran let’s speak to our correspondent now in Israel Noatolski joining us hello to you uh Noga it’s a third day of fighting between Israel and Iran the military giving some updates um what has the Israeli military been saying the Israeli military uh the spokesman just finished uh briefing right now basically laying out an extremely wide array of ongoing Israeli strikes inside Iran um wide array meaning against infrastructure like natural gas facilities against figures that they’re still seeking out uh and against military and nuclear installations it’s all still ongoing so the news is basically it is going on full force um and the other obviously news that the spokesman attempted to deliver was four Israelis um we still don’t know how many Israelis were killed last night in the uh Iranian missile barges at least 10 the numbers are still rising and um the military sees you know has a role in trying to calm down the citizenry as well in what are very stressful days here and with the Israeli government sort of widening the scope of targets it says it has a a large list of targets uh potential targets in Iran um and they haven’t given a a date for when this operation will will will end um is a public on board with this or are they a bit alarmed after 20 months of war in Gaza this is a really important question and I don’t have an answer for you i managed to get out a little bit today um and speak to some very pro- Netanyahu Jerusaleamites um you know Netanyahu’s developed a bit of a cult following among his followers so one of the gentlemen who I spoke with said to me “Thank God we have BB overlooking us in the skies.” But I don’t know if that’s reflective and I suspect it’s not israelis are very weary but there’s another aspect I think we have to highlight netanyahu said told Israelis that the aim of this operation was very clear and unequivocal to quote eliminate the nuclear threat from Iran obviously attacking oil refineries does not do that and attacking political figures if that’s what Israel is beginning to do also doesn’t and what we’re seek right now not in the military arena but in the media arena is an effort by Israeli figures to begin to change the conversation i want to mention yesterday a senior Israeli official speaking to the Wall Street Journal said that the Supreme Leader of Iran Kamayi was not off the table today we have another senior Israeli figure leaking to Al Arabia saying and I quote “American involvement is required if the if we do not uh destroy the installation in Foro this is one of Iran’s most major nuclear facilities our uh our work will not uh have been efficient.” So what we’re seeing I think is Israelis trying to change the conversation and we’re also beginning to understand to what an extent Prime Minister Netanyahu made this decision based on two assumptions and we don’t yet know if these assumptions uh were correct or not one assumption is that he could persuade the United States to join Israel in the fighting in active combat the other assumption it’s now becoming clear is that the Iranian regime is weak and toppable and I think that we have to just keep our eyes very much on the ball keep paying attention to what messages the Israeli government is putting out in addition to what its military actions are and see how things progress i am not certain that either of these assumptions are going to end up being proven correct and if that’s the case Netanyahu may end up having to face the Israeli public again in a few days in a week or two and have to admit that he was not able to deliver what he promised them yeah and I wanted to ask you about that because I’m I’m curious on the one hand um there are international calls for deescalation on the other hand you do have Western uh countries like France like Germany like the United States saying Iran’s nuclear program is a threat is a threat to Israel is a threat to the world and and that Israel has a right to defend itself but as the scope of targets widens beyond the nuclear program do you think Netanyahu risks losing some of that international support it’s a great question again I mean as I said to you I definitely think he risks losing whatever support he has from Israelis right now and we don’t yet know how much support he really has for this um for Israelis certainly the notion of a nuclear Iran was very clear until now but it was also abstract it didn’t affect people’s daily lives this is destroying people’s daily lives here in Israel um in terms of diplomacy I think that all of these leaders have been put in a quite difficult position by Netanyahu because on the one hand it is absolutely true that you know Emmanuel Makon Kier Starmer uh Chancellor Mertz President Trump all of these Western leaders understand very clearly better than you and I do the danger that a nuclear armed Iran would pose to the Western world it’s not uh abstract for them on the other hand if Prime Minister Netanyahu has sort of gone rogue and is going to be attacking the political leadership of Iran which hasn’t yet happened I want to emphasize but continue to attack national infrastructure which has happened those leaders may find themselves in a very very difficult bind and it may actually expose Israel to even greater diplomatic isolation than it already finds itself in over the Gaza war which let’s mention is ongoing and people continue to die and suffer there too all right Noga thank you very much no Charapolski uh reporting there
Noga Tarnopolsky, our correspondant in Jerusalem, has more.

The way this ends: Israel realizes that America is not going to be drawn in to the war and that the Iranian population is not going to overthrow the mullahs. Unable to destroy Fordow and, with mounting civilian and infrastructure loses in Israel, Netanyahu will agree to a ceasefire demanded by the security council. America will not veto the resolution in order to give Israel a way to end the war and "save face."
Iran 🇮🇷 is not Hamas
Natanyahu plans is not to win the war , he wants to secure his position and involve USA … If Trump don’t involve it’s the beginning of the end of Israel ..
Netenyahu has nukes what’s he on about US have nukes what’s his problem with Iran or anywhere else for that matter- keep his nose out and go back to wherever he lives, which isn’t Israel
YES…, THAT CAN BE TRUE, BUT, SO DOES IRAN KNOWS QUITE WELL THE TARGET LIST FOR ISRAEL…, SO…, WHAT IS GOING TO BE ???
GAZA??finally international bias media is allowed in
Iran has many targets in Israel to enforce the UN laws and regulations.
Iran strikes are helping UN and other agencies who have begged Isreal for implementation
They disabled the nuclear program so stop..Israel go home..Why are you taking out oil fields and other targets..After you are done are you going to starve them and block humanitarian aid ???
If they keep bombing the civilian population, I bet they do have a lot of targets. This is disgraceful
Israel's real population by now is about 4 million. The rest have fled
"Beyond the nuclear program" the host is worried about. The man does not realize it is integrated into their very national spirit. The whole thing has to be taken down. Naive.
How many hospitals, schools, Kinder gardens, residential apartments and ….. are in the list.
Another place in the Middle East is soon to be renamed New Gaza 😅.
Pro Khamenei media: Prepare to mourn the consequences of. Iranian missiles.
Iran has one very little (nasty and dangerous, yes!) target
Your reporter lady is either biaz or doesn't know anything. She's raising assumptions, she's to report what sees and what's on ground not what she thinks.
It's disgusting that a country (Israel) that started a war is pretending to be a victim.
Iranians should be able to fiercely defend themselves, and emerge on top.
The woman is not a proper analyst.
US sanctioned Iran to help prevent Iran's nuclear threat.
Iran uses oil income to fund uranium enrichment for nuclear weapon.
So why did she said taking out oil facilities doesn't eliminate Iran's nuclear threat?
Also Pakistan is coming to help iran maybe turkey too Indonesia is coming so many things are dramatically challenging and sure all western are already a part of this war against iran
U wrong ! Do ur homework b4 u talk
Israel targets military sites only, while Iran targets civilians.
Pls. Don't forget naval fleet of iran to your list.
A lot of damages is happening in both countries but in Israel they want you any The only show buildings and cars thats so… 4 Jets have been shut down but they're not reporting anything
What are you talking about stupid? Netanyahu knows what he should to do. And he's doing the best as he has to do.
Israel also has a list of European and American cities as nuclear attack targets via their Sampson Option. Quite the ally they are!
What is she reporting when Iran foreign minister has signal willing to stop if Israel stooped.
Thank God for BiBi
Once Isreal is really hit hard
Then they would start believing even they are not invincible
Listening to women talk about war is the biggest joke of the 21st century…
Israel has truly lost and losing each day. Just look at the comments sections.
