I used to love the Harry Potter books/movies but now I can’t get past how a so very hateful person could say the things she comes up with I don’t know if I could get past this a look at the Harry Potter world in the same way again. I can’t believe she is being allowed to work on the new Harry Potter tv series.

She a) *goes out of her way* to show all the number of ways she is anti trans people, up to and including; campaigning for trans people to lose rights they already have. Scrolling through twitter to find trans people’s accounts with few followers/friends and posts their pictures/posts to her feed and encourages her followers to mock them. Deliberately conflates trans people with paedophiles and implies they’re one and the same. I could go on…
b) at the same time, if anybody *dares* to describe her as anti-trans or transphobic, she denies it. To even *say* such a thing, to her, is abusing her and abusing all women.
But clearly **she is**. Does she think people don’t have eyes?
That’s the thing that gets me the most. See if you really want to be anti trans, ok, fine. But at least own it?! She’s got to the point where she’s all but using arguments like “gay people have the same rights as ‘normal’ people; to marry a partner of the opposite sex”.
It isn’t transphobic to believe that biological sex is important to how people experience the world. It isn’t transphobic to believe that female-only spaces such as women’s sports, women’s toilets, women’s changing rooms. and women’s domestic violence shelters are important.
When someone constantly receives death threats and rape threats from professed members of the transgender rights movement, it it really a surprise when they adopt an acerbic tone in their Twitter posts towards that movement?
People need to chill, enjoy the Harry Potter books and films, and realise that there is space in the world for both transgender rights and women’s rights activists.
Why in the actual fuck are we **still** going on about her on a daily basis on this sub?
If you don’t like her, then stop posting about it all the time. Every comment section is the exact same things on repeat, and it’s like Groundhog Day over and over and over.
I think some of you actually enjoy getting riled up over her. I personally couldn’t give a fuck what she gets up to in her free time, and it’s only ever on here that I have any exposure to it.
What an absolutely horrible person she has become. I used to love these books and I will never read them again because I don’t want to support her in any way. How can you come from nothing like she did end up being such a close minded piece of shit?
