4. Let’s hope Ukraine can get the number to 100% losses. If even 2 or 3 out of 100 Russians make it to the next tree line, they can start burrowing in for a new forward defensive position. Russia can just keep sending hundreds more soldiers into the death zone, and gradually build up the dug-in forces by 2s and 3s, regardless of the horrific losses in aggregate. Ukraine really needs to inflict 100% Russian losses consistently to avoid this kind of creeping assault.
