During the opening of the event, Camilla and her lady-in-waiting, Lady Sarah, had to face a strong wind that threatened to blow away their hats. A lip-reading expert, Nicola Hickling, has revealed that Camilla, concerned, exclaimed: “My God, if the wind blows any harder, my hat will fly away.”
Although the incident seemed minor, it was an uncomfortable moment for Queen Camilla. She struggled to keep her elegance while greeting the attendees. The situation caused some confusion for Queen Camilla, who even considered the option of taking off her hat to avoid losing her composure.
According to Hickling, the queen commented: “I greet quickly and hold the hat again. Should I take it off? I can’t.” Despite the wind and the small chaos, Queen Camilla kept firm in her role, while King Charles III watched closely. Camilla, laughing, added: “This wind is causing a frenzy.”
