He’s very possibly a Russian asset so I don’t trust him to be arguing this in good faith. Also, Dems including Schumer have put out statements saying Trump shouldn’t start a war without Congress’s approval and that any action needs to be justified with evidence and clear goals in mind. I know people are going to say “but that’s just a strongly worded letter!” But there’s not a whole lot else they can do anyway.
The only reason his shit is hitting is bc he’s built a reputation of being a partisan hack over a lifetime. Ted thought he was in a “safe space”. Any dem could’ve said the same exact shit and wouldn’t have be near as successful.

I don’t know if this will get buried, there’s already 150 comments at this point but I really want to stop and try to talk about this, hopefully some people will see it and the sentiment will get around. I watched the entire interview, if you care about this issue at all (you should) then you should watch it as well. A few points at first:
-Yes, Tucker is effectively indistinguishable from a literal neo nazi.
-Yes, Tucker is raging ACTUAL anti-semite and white supremacist.
-Yes, Tucker DOES want war with Iran. This may seem counterproductive given his stance on Israel stems from anti-semitism, but he still clearly wants war with Iran. The two are not mutually exclusive, though his reason for wanting it is separate from “we must defend israel from the war they started”.
The reason this whole incident makes “liberal” media look so awful and capitulatory by comparison is that every question Tucker grills Cruz with is valid and legitimate. He asks questions that SHOULD be asked, with the minimum level of sharpness and adversarial challenge media should be using. He seems to be the ONLY person willing to criticize Israel, question or challenge them meaningfully, outside of a few supposedly unpopular progressives.
Carlson is able to evade being called an anti-semite because none of the questions he asks in regard to Israel ARE anti-semitic, they just aren’t. They’re questions that should be asked of any foreign nation and lobby that works for the interests of that nation. And yes, AIPAC does that, full stop. AIPAC funded candidates are some of the most nightmarishly ghoulish people out there, and they poison the democrats to the hilt. They are what makes fighting fascism harder than it has to be.
This is a deeply nuanced issue, and the worst thing that can happen is for mainstream media and democrats to distance themselves even further from challenging Israel. It’s probably what will happen, because the questions he asks that THEY should be asking will be poisoned by being asked by someone like him.
It is not anti-semitic to question, criticize, challenge or even oppose Israel in it’s actions on one issue or another. Netenyahu is a tyrant, a war criminal, and a mass murderer. Many people in his government are as well. Tucker doesn’t care about any of that, but we should, and we should not be letting a f*ing nazi run the table on this issue. It is a deeply disgraceful display, and every single journalist not doing better on this issue than him should be ashamed to the point of finding another line of work.
The democrats have been asking similarly barbed questions in every hearing.
The capital class owned media do not want to show us that but showing us the russian stooge ambushing Cruz in a way no left leaning journalist ever gets to with basic questions Cruz was not prepared to dodge because it was an ambush. This fiery attack making ratings for the fireworks of it because carlson has so much practice with dull blunt bad faith questions that he is a surgeon with razor sharp actual ones.
But this spectacle also gives them false credit for “fighting for peace” when it is just Russia needs drones and it is enabling the bad faith argument that Dems just won’t fight. The message so toxic to turnout that they pay to spread it with bot networks and both siderism.
No, the fight is not televised, check out the hegseth verbal brutalization the Dems gave him in committee this week for example.
Dems are fighting and getting arrested to show up, some of them are bought and paid for but they should be primaried. we do not hear about it because a fighting team motivates engagement which they do not want.
