To be fair, some entitled people would just abandon their car anywhere even if the actual spaces were full 😂
I’m looking at you, BMW drivers
That will be because when it’s full people start parking in the middle of roads of the car park blocking the access of the cars already there. And people are selfish
Surprised someone hasn’t parked on the sign
The stupider the sign, the stupider the people whose actions resulted in the sign being necessary…
This car park is small, but the ones out there are far away.
They probably got fed up with people saying “what i am supposed to do”
After having previously worked for the National Trust for years, and gaining an understanding of the average member, this sign is absolutely necessary and probably routinely ignored.
Whenever I see a sign like this I wonder how much of a mess things were to necessitate it.
You’d be surprised.
“may contain nuts” is written on packets of nuts for a reason.
There’s a good chance that there were some bellends just parking on the grass or in the middle of the carpark
I can imagine it was born of people crawling around and around in circles endlessly and stopping in the midst of it in the hope that a space will just magically appear if they do so.
Seems like they’re really laying down the law on that parking situation.
Just because you know it’s stupid and completely obvious doesn’t mean that everyone has the brain capacity to think like that.
People did vote for Brexit, Reform and Trump after all.
Instructions unclear. Moved sign, parked in its place.
Clearly it was necessary or they wouldn’t have made the sign. A lot of thick people about.
You often get people that will hang around the car park waiting for a space, it creates carnage when there’s loads of people doing the same thing.
You also get dickheads who park on the grass verges which turns them into muddy trenches.
They need another sign in front of it that says “THIS SIGN IS ONLY HERE BECAUSE SOMEBODY WAS A BELLEND ONCE”
No no. I’ll just stop in the entrance and wait until someone leaves.
I imagine people either dump their cars because they feel more entitled or they sit waiting with their engine running blocking the flow of traffic
Is anybody else getting Father Ted explaining things to Dougal vibes?
Not stay brooding and waiting for someone to leave?
That grass verge looks like you could at least get half a cars width on it. suppose they park there or park over that sign.
Even stupider are people who hang about waiting on a parking space
” what a cryptic message, better park on the verge blocking the entrance while I go have a 5 hour walk” – every land rover/BMW driver ever
It’s a message for the giffer in the massive range rover that parks and waits, blocking all the traffic hoping someone will leave.
Is it small? Or it’s just far away? 😂
The fact they felt the need to post a sign like this tells you a lot.
People underestimate just how stupid someone people can be…
We are working on average public intelligence here.
I worked in a car park for a historic site previously, and its amazing how necessary this sign is. People can be unfathomably stupid, and often refuse to take the word of staff
