NATO rumor has it that they Sweden the deal to hurry up and Finnish it. Every citizen from the first country to sign gets a free bucket.
Norway, Sweden, Denmark will fight for Finland regardless of NATO membership or not. That is twice the size of Ukraine in a lot more difficult terrain. With far more war ships.
There is no blitzkrieg for Russia here. It will be and endless battle in harsh terrain.
Finland to Russia: Simply withdraw from Ukraine and stop disrespecting the sovereignty of your neighbours and we will have no reason to join NATO.
Consequences are met with consequences Russia is no superpower and even its nukes mean little when the other permanent security nation members have them themselves

Amusing as Finland hasn’t even bothered to kick out the Russians stationed in Åland.
When Russia invaded, my peace plan was to fave the US back Finland claiming Greater Finland, China claim its old borders, well into Siberia, and Kaliningrad to Poland or Lithuania.
Then, after a mutual defense pact, claiming 20% of Russia, offer to return to the 1993 borders. There is no way Russia would take on a combined China USA. And Yes, I think China would go for it. There is some good leverage there, especially if the USA apologized for starting the Korean War.
