THIS year’s All-Ireland SFC quarter-final pairings will be decided on Monday morning after this weekend’s preliminary knockout fixtures decide the second half of the pot.
Three Ulster sides have already confirmed their place in the All-Ireland Football Championship quarter-finals by topping their All-Ireland series groups, namely Armagh, Tyrone and Monaghan, with Meath filling the other slot.
The draw for the quarter-finals in the race for Sam Maguire will take place on RTÉ Radio 1 as part of ‘Morning Ireland’ after the news at 8:30 am on Monday, June 23.

The four first-place teams from the group stage will be drawn to play against the winners of the preliminary quarter-finals, subject in the first instance to the avoidance of repeat provincial final pairings and, where possible, repeat pairings from the series groups.
For example, should Donegal beat Louth in their preliminary round game, they cannot be drawn against Armagh, as that is a repeat of the Ulster final, if it came down to a choice between Armagh and Tyrone, the Ulster champions would face Tyrone, as the first priority is to avoid repeat finals.
All ties will be played at Croke Park between Saturday, July 12 and Sunday, July 13.
Also, fixture details were confirmed for the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship semi-final, with Cork and Kilkenny already qualified as Munster and Leinster champions.
Cork can play Galway, Tipperary and Dublin, having already played Limerick in the Munster final.
Kilkenny can play Limerick, Dublin and Tipperary as they beat Galway in the Leinster SFC final.
The two ties will be played at Croke Park as a double-header with an All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship quarter-final, with the ties taking place on the weekend beginning July 5.
