  1. Easy enough to suggest when you have an ocean between you and the war. Not so sure how convincing he’s going to be to the people who can hear the bombs going off.

  2. US says they don’t care about Europe, still expects Europe to care what they say

  3. NATO must focus on. Ukraine and leave mess in middle east for the US.

  4. I very much disagree with the assessment that “Moscow and Bejing closely watch” the final formal statement of this conference.

Clearly, Trump is moderately on the russian side, as are a minority of US citizens and elected representatives.

The vast majority of Europeans and Canadians support Ukraine, so the statement will be a watery compromise.

I believe China and russia care about expectable actions first and foremost. Very little US support, or significant support if Congress has its way, and a lot of support from the majority of Europe, Canada and some Indopacific nations.

Trump is not likely to “pressure” the rest of NATO out of support for Ukraine. “Too much pressure” will only spell doom for the US military industry in a time of immense opportunities. So he might not even try.

  5. yeah a lot of those members live on the same continent with a hostile Russia.

  6. Donald Trump pushing allies to open a flank to Russia, as instructed by his lord, Vladimir Putin.

  7. That will backfire considering it’s coming from trump

  8. “Hey, Old Europe, we know you have a genocidal power at your doorstep, willing to throw millions into the meat grinder. You mind just not worrying about that? It’s not like we are going to help you anyway. By the way, you should chip in more and take care of your OWN defense, moochers!”

    Fucking ‘tards.

  9. Nobody will join the US to save their ass in the middle east now

  10. Very coherent and intelligent messaging on NATO from the US lately. Increase your defense spending to above US spending, even though you don’t have two theaters to watch and no massive need for power projection. Don’t develop any weapon systems on your own, but give us your money instead. The stuff we will sell you will be degraded in performance so that should things go sour between us you will have no means of defense. Don’t count on us in a crisis, unless you pay us protection money. Ignore that imperialistic war of expansion in your own backyard. But above all, anything that happens in Europe falls on you and your shoulders only. You simply exist to provide cash and manpower to the US, but are completely beholden to the US interests.
I think that many in the US, including the government, sees Europeans as NPCs in a video game where they are the main character. They seem completely unaware of that other people have their own interests and will act accordingly, no matter how much the US thinks it runs the world.

  11. Well, of course Trump would say that he’s a Russian foreign agent he works for Putin

  12. What fucking else is there to talk about at a NATO summit lol. Sure, maybe Israel Iran.

  13. NATO was created exactly because of the threat USSR/RU was posing. Their imperialistic ambitions were clear at that time.

  14. Any Republicans, please help me understand why Trump is so clearly pro Russia.

  15. Don’t listen to us. Our president needs to be institutionalized.
