Canada Post has reached a new collective agreement with the Canadian Postmasters and Assistant Association (CPAA) following a year-and-a-half of negotiations.

The CPAA, which mainly manages rural post offices, is Canada Post’s second largest union and represents more than 8,500 employees.

The agreement includes an 11 per cent wage increase over the next three years.

The deal is in effect until Dec. 31, 2026.
