a strong show of solidarity the French president was greeted by the Danish Prime Minister Meta Frederickson and the Greenlandic Prime Minister Yens Frederick Nielsen emanuel Macron on a brief stopover in Greenland on his way to the G7 summit in Canada condemned the threats by the US President Donald Trump to annex the Danish autonomous territory he said that is not what allies do everybody think in France in the European Union that Greenland is not to be sold not to be taken [Applause] something could happen with Greenland i’ll be honest since returning to the White House in January Trump has repeatedly said the United States needs the strategically located resourcerich island for security reasons and he has refused to rule out the use of force to secure it i think we’ll uh go as far as we have to go we need Greenland and the world needs us to have Greenland including Denmark denmark has to have us have Greenland what is the world’s largest island is situated between the Arctic and Atlantic oceans it has gained geostrategic importance as the race for rare earths heats up and as melting ice caused by global warming opens up new shipping routes macron said the EU wanted to speed up the implementation of a partnership with Greenland on minerals including strategic metals today clearly we do believe that we now have to accelerate the implementation of the strategic partnership signed two years ago in order to have concrete investment and to be part of the economic development of Greenland raton said Greenland situation was a wakeup call for Europeans the EU has designated 25 minerals found in the territory as critical raw materials

French President Emmanuel Macron arrived in Greenland on Sunday, where he conveyed European solidarity and support for the Danish autonomous territory coveted by US President Donald Trump. “It’s important to show that Denmark and Europe are committed to this territory, which has very high strategic stakes, and whose territorial integrity must be respected,” Macron said.

    Imagine a land larger than France inhabited by 50,000 people = Greenland. Definitely not an island.

  2. Trump failed Birthday Parade happened because he attended the Bastille Day Parade in France , what he should imitate is the cultured ,empathy and charm displayed by their President Macron sadly for America he lacks the intelligence and ability. .
