Why exactly is there vat at all? It’s hardly a luxury
Just an outsider but wouldn’t that help those with large houses more than those with smaller houses? I understand older houses might not be well insulated but I don’t see this as helping the targeted audience unless it’s for the upper and middle classes…
Not sure I understand the logic of taking money out of government pockets, rather than first targeting private companies who provide this electricity and still make a profit?
I suspect it will actually turn out to be a tax break for the very wealthy.
Based solely on how cruel, anti-social and regressive Fine Gael are.
