I'm not sure that's quite the flex you think it is Sir. Found in the front of CGP revision guide

  1. CGP revision guides were legends at trolling before trolling existed!

  2. This ain’t MC Hammer. More like MC rubber mallet 😂😂

  3. The world is a sphere.

Obviously he travelled the other (long) way around, you know, through Norway and Argentina.

  4. I always loved these revision books because they barely made revision tolerable. These jokes were the only thing between me and insanity

  5. I mean to be fair that’s basically the entirety of civilisation there: St Mary’s to SkegVegas. Everything outside of that stretch? Barbarism. Bears, maybe. Wouldn’t risk it. Probably don’t even have Primark.

(I feel like I want to add /s because it’s Reddit, but then I remember we don’t need that here.)

  6. But what If he went east from Skegness. That’s reeeaaaalllly far

  7. > Yes he’s never found any books as educational and entertaining as CGPs.

    > And that’s not bloody surprising mun’

    > Because we’re a bunch of talentless loudmouths with no sense of humour.

  8. Maybe he just went in the opposite direction? To quote Ian Dury: ‘sometimes it takes much longer to get up north … the slow way’.

  9. That is the whole point! CGP books are amazing for exactly that.

  10. I’ve been from Southampton to Portsmouth, and everywhere in-between. But I ain’t seen a better revision guide.

  11. I hated those books. Took the piss out of learning. Tell me what I need to know not a joke about how hard studying is or farts.

Took grim pleasure in scrolling past their underpaid graduate scheme.

  12. They say they travelled around the world so maybe they went east across Europe, Asia, America, and ended in Skegness?

  13. I’m from skegness. Couldn’t wait to leave after gcses

  14. …I’ve met the king of china, and the working Yorkshire miner

But I’ve never met a nice south African!

  15. I’ve been around the world, from London to the Bay.

  16. “But iv never met a nice South Africaaaaaaan”

  17. CGP? ICT? Just wondering what / who? Sorry to interrupt.

  18. He was trying to get to Bognor but put the wrong Butlins into Google Maps, must have felt like Odysseus after that.
