  1. Honestly I think that’s true. Our only anti establishment figure is Farage so disillusioned youth gravitate towards him.

Even if you hated Corbyn you have to admit he established himself as a leftist alternative anti establishment figure but he’s been pushed out. And the general consensus is that Starmers Labour is Tory lite right now and Badenoch has the charisma of a wet lettuce

  2. > The young mayor is also a Christian and believes her latest position was “predestined”.

That’s what young people want to hear, is it?

    Good lord…
    (pun intended)

  3. Fair play to her, she is right, and Cllr Princess Bright has an awesome name too

  4. >The young mayor is also a Christian and believes her latest position was “predestined”.

I don’t think people want religious crazies in their government.

  5. Why bother? Every political position is already farmed out to the army of SPADs who decided aged 12 that they were going to join a given party, and grease the right palms and climb the right pole.

When was the last time someone had a career, and then decided to go into politics later in life, and actually reached the Commons?

  6. Young people have bad parents who little Johnny darling who was caught with a Rambo knife didn’t do anything wrong and was profiled.

  7. The issue is the Geritocracy. Historically the elders were seldom much past 50 and were generally still in fighting shape. We are now being ruled by people on the declining part of the curve

  8. It’s not just young people, I’m 40+ and there is nobody for me to vote for.

I hate the Tories with a burning passion, Reform at its core is just the BNP so fuck them and somebody who is disabled, with the changes Labour are trying to push through, they are out Torying the Tories so fuck them.

The Greens are delusional and the Lib Dems are just a whole lot of nothingness.

Maybe if the Lib Dems did something, anything to show sings of life then I would consider voting for them.

  9. Young people can’t find jobs and entry levels (all actually) salaries are shit.

What is the US doing differently to us? Encouraging big business.

Instead, we hamstring our businesses by endless regulation and taxes.

The most talented people leave here and go to the US and start building billion dollar companies.

WE NEED TO ENCOURAGE PRODUCTIVE PEOPLE AND BUSINESSES MORE.

That is the only way to create wealth; otherwise, we’d end up taxing ourselves to hell and achieving a mediocre nation.

  10. Not British but a resident – Starmer is really good. He’s just not sexy. But he gets shit done and he’s brilliant. He just needs better Pr maybe

  11. Who the fuck needs a leader? I’m not fucking 12 😂

People take want to lead are normally fucking mental cases. Those that don’t want any part of the structure are cast aside. And the idiots keep on voting for the idiots.

  12. No shit. Trump is currently the most powerful man in the world and he won it democratically. People voted for “grab em by the pussy”. Millions and millions of westerners. Farage is on the rise again here, even after the laughable failure of brexit.

All young people are learning is how bitter and stupid people are, while vehemently denying they are bitter and stupid.

  13. Thought this was a new Peter pan movie, and hook takes control

  14. True every leader we have is willing to bend over for pensioners but only willing to bend over young people

  15. Starmer and Farage both need to be fired into the sun. It is infuriating that they will be our only options next election.

  16. I agree with young people needing role models irrespective of gender or colour.

I don’t agree that they need to be “leaders”

Think about who you looked up to growing up, I bet they were someone related to your hobbies and interests. Not a politician.
I was/still am a motorsport fan, in particular BTCC, I looked up to people like Andy Rouse (not heard of him? He’s probably the best saloon car racer this country will ever produce, and was an excellent race car engineer), Colin McRae and Damon Hill. People that weren’t known for running their mouths or speaking first and thinking later.

I was/still am a huge fan of athletics, didn’t matter the race or gender of the athlete, I was more bothered about how they performed at their event and it was a given that they would approach whatever happened with dignity and a respectful attitude to others.

  17. Young people have no media voice or anyone to explain the problems the country has to them in a simple manner. Gary Stevenson is the only person I can think of who breaks down some of the big financial problems the country has in a way that’s accessible. Until you can get a message across, you’ll never have a leader who can be popular.

  18. Yeah – young people getting involved in the running of their country!? Wankers, right?

It’s not like the OP’s generation had a chance to do that, is it?

Fucking progress – coming over here taking our jobs!

    OP is a twat.
