I know it’s a local paper, but this article feels kind of… weird, somehow. I am inclined to wait for more reporting.
Kidnapping kids is a frequent touchstone for the shit-stirrers. I’ll wait for more details from a more reputable source.

I was almost grabbed when I was 8. Scariest shit that ever happened to me. 2 blokes in a white Corolla directly outside my own house as I walked back from a friend’s, it wasnt even dark.
I ran up the garden and banged on the door but my mother was out the back and didn’t hear. I had to jump into the neighbours garden and straight into her kitchen through the side door and I just wrapped myself around her.
They got out of the car and tried to grab me once in my garden and actually went as far as running up the side door of the neighbours house too before they ran back to the car and drove off.
I still think about it regularly 25 years later. I hope those kids will be OK.
Are we going to pretend we this it’s 20% on crowd and 80% the other?

I have a Romanian friend and she was stolen as a child by roma gypsies.
Why? Cause she has blonde hair and blue eyes. Two very desirable traits in Romania.
They eventually got her back but everytime she walks past romani gypsy people she swears at them.
