Amazon to lift Australian investment to $20 billion

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has praised Amazon for boosting Australia’s investment to $20 billion to expand data centre infrastructure.

This marks the biggest technology investment Australia has secured.

“An investment like this is vital to Australia’s fast-growing start-up ecosystem and innovative tech industry,” Mr Albanese said.

“It will boost Australia’s economic growth, our resilience, and our productivity.”
