Well, we've reached the longest day of the year, so it's downhill all the way from tomorrow. What are you getting up to today? It's going to be a bit of a hot one, so be sure to stay as cool and hydrated as possible. And don't forget the sun cream!

  1. First light festival in Lowestoft should be a fun day out, then home for dinner and some gaming, and fishing tomorrow on the beach so should be a good weekend all round.

    Stay hydrated, wear sun screen and stay under cover during lunch time if your out and about 🙂

  2. Got up early to walk the dog before it gets too hot. Sitting watching the birds in the garden with a coffee.

    Plans today… pizzas for lunch, steak for dinner, few beers and try not to melt.

  3. Does anyone else put on suncream and then get a bad taste in their mouth?

    Anyway, today is a big family day iut to an event. Luckily I decided against sitting in a hot car so we have fast if more exoensive seats. I have 2564. Snacks and drinks, wipes and spare everything which I will probably regret having to lug around but having had to buy new stuff in the past, it’s worth it.

    We will get home about 10pm then relax tomorrow. Hopefully all goes well.

  4. The Premier Inn Air con is working a little too good in this hotel and I’ve had to put some more layers on

    Way better than overheating at home though and not being able to do shit about it

  5. Less warm here today, thank all the gods. My mum is visiting so it’s a day of shopping centres and carrying bags for me…

  6. Still in bed at the moment. Waiting for tea to be brought up to me. Might be waiting for some time

    Need to do some house work then this afternoon OH and I are having a BBQ. Just us but will be nice.
    Need to get a little padding pool for the dog so he can sit outside with us and keep cool.

  7. Seeing a friend for lunch. Possibly seeing a local band in the pub tonight but might bail on that because I feel like it’ll be very warm in there. 

    Might stay in and play some switch instead. I recently started Fantasy Life I and its odd (I seem to have a sentient friend who is a chest of drawers) but it’s enjoyable.

  8. Got the lurgy and feel like pure shit, looks like it’s gonna wipe out most of my weekend. Fuming as I had things I really wanted to do 😭

  9. Gardening, rewarding myself with a BBQ when the bushes are cut back. Get to use my fancy new cordless hedge trimmer. My previous cordless hedge trimmers did not begin life that way

  10. Cannot wait for my steaming hot bath later. Glorious.

    I’m the leader of an amateur air horn association, so we’ll be trying our creations all day in the garden (as long as my pesky neighbours don’t chime in with their opinions)

  11. My wife is away in Crete for a long weekend with her pals, I’ve got 3 kids to get to swimming lessons and drama school, then get them to bed when they are all too hot to sleep later. Throw in a food shop and my day will be sweaty and frustrating.
    Think tomorrow we’ll go to the cinema for a couple of hours in the aircon

  12. Happy Saturday everyone!

    Well since it’s going to be a hot one, I do plan to stay hydrated and apply my sun cream. I’ve been doing this for past week haha.

    I’ve got chores to do since I’ve been away on holiday to Tenerife so will do those. I also plan to do some light studying and make sure my work desk is clean and laptop is charged. Then I plan to chill out in the garden and watch TV shows.

    I’m not sure what my sister and parents have plans in mind so will go with the flow as I’m not particularly fussed about doing anything extravagant & intense on this long hot day.

  13. Sitting by the air con, best purchase ever was half price in December !!!

    Pop for a couple of pints in local, then home for an afternoon nap.

  14. Got to drive an hour to the dentist for a filling. I hate myself for scheduling this.

    But I’ll spend the afternoon sitting in my mum’s garden if I can bear it which will be nice

  15. I suck at sleeping. I suck at sleeping *even more* when it’s so warm and humid overnight. Not even my favorite coffee has helped.

  16. The mr is at a bowls tournament all day until 4/5pm so I will be staying in the house attempting to keep the house cool enough for a very hot and fluffy dog that isn’t coping well in the heat and then when the mr gets back and can take over dog cooling duties I will be going for a quiet evening sea swim by myself.

  19. Im off to work. I work in a shopping center, luckily our shop has air con but I didn’t sleep last night so not really feeling the customer complaints today! Then im off for a week!! Have a good one all!

  20. Woke up with a bit of a funky gut. I had Nando’s for dinner lastnight so that’ll do it I suppose! A bit of a wing it day today! Hope everyone has a great day 😌☺️

  21. Slept terribly as I have all week. The exhaustion is turning into delirium with occasional teary outbursts, hoping the thunderstorms are impressive.

    A friend is coming over soon for boardgames before it gets hotter and then I’m planning to clean my house, read my book and find a film to watch

  24. Very dark, gloomy and humid over here. I’m glad I got the grass cut yesterday. Got my laundry done and I’ll whip the hoover round shortly. After that I’ll probably get my beads and stuff out and make sparkly things.

  25. Taking husband driving for some practice.

    Toyed with taking our kayaks out but it’s too hot for that, so we’ll go tomorrow instead when it’s meant to be cooler.

  27. Currently sat on top of Sheffield Pike in the Lakes. Was hot getting up here but it’s a lovely temperature now. Looking forward to the cold beer that’s waiting in my fridge.
