  1. That’s a ski jump location named “Holmenkollen”

  2. It’s the troll defence system (TDF) it slingshots balls of UV light in case oslo gets attacked in the night. That’s why you never encounter any trolls in oslo

  3. It’s the launch ramp for the Norwegian Space Program.
It uses an extremely powerful magnet to slingshot satellites into orbit.

  4. Recommend taking the subway up to Holmenkollen and have a closer look. There is a museum at the bottom and you can take an elevator to the top of it.

  5. That’s Per’s “Osterhøvel” sculpture. There’ll be a large block of brunost on the far right if you zoom in close enough.

  6. Its an old Viking cultural sight. They used to cut off the heads of Swedes and throw their bodies down the slope. But in modern times they started to use it as a ski jump or something.

  7. I actually thought that was a plane that crashed one time when I was like 10, some smoke conveniently went up pretty close to it

  8. It looks like one of the Jotner left his boomerang on the ground again.

  9. Looks like a lot of jokes so I’ll go ahead and answer with what it actually is: if this is in Oslo then this is a Ski Jump – I visited in the summer and had the same confusion.

It looks much more appropriate in the winter

  10. I have never been on that side of Oslo my entirely life. But I know what that white thing is cause of Winter Olympics

  11. Came here for the comments. Was not disappointed. Bra jobba, alle sammen!

  12. Should I visit it is the view nice? Got last day tomorrow could make it before the flight
