Germany and Canada have agreed to fund the production of Ukrainian anti-Shahed drones — according to President Zelensky.

2. Excellent news! I hope that participating in this German-led initiative is just the start of more active efforts by Canada to target resources where they have the highest yields on the battlefield and largest ability to scale up. It will also be invaluable to have involvement in the development of this type of system, and access to technology transfer and battlefield intelligence, especially as Canada prepares to (finally) reintroduce SHORAD capabilities to the Canadian Army.

4. As a Canadian, I love this news. Continued support of Ukraine and collaboration with Germany is as much a win as we can ask for in the current geopolitical climate.
