Maybe he has had a panic attack as a result, that seems perfectly possible. That is entirely down his actions and he still needs to face the consequences for that, mental health issues or not. You cannot use mental health issues as a shield, I have had mental health issues for over a decade and it is one of the most annoying realisations to have. Just because I have issues does not mean I get a free pass all the time.
