  1. I love the fact he “retruth” a news video about how we could trust Trump not to get us into another war with the middle east literally earlier today or yesterday.

  2. I think the first time the US has bombed inland Iran if we don’t count the offshore oil shellings in the 80s.

  3. Retaliatory Strikes on US Bases & Embassies all over middle east to be expected after that

  4. What a timeline. What does Iran even have left to do at this point? Will the Israelis end their airstrike campaign? Why does Trump think this will lead to peace? Is he offering the Iranians an off ramp somehow?

  5. Will see how and if this it escalates.

Not sure they have the missiles and capacity to directly respond.
But surely the Houthis will start causing issues in the Red Sea again.

  6. I would of been more amazed if the US didn’t bomb nuclear facilities. This one’s of those rare free hits to really give Iran a massive blow at the cost of a few bunker busting bombs.

I will be surprised if there is boots on the ground. This Us administration is way to much of shambles to make incompetence look like malice or malice look like incompetence. So honestly don’t really know what way they will go with so many people contradicting each other, let alone saying something different each tweet.

  7. The comments on this post makes it seem like this is Iraq all over again but its not really. There will likely not be boots on the ground. Mostly a month or so of bombing and then mission accomplished. I’m still more worried about the ukraine war at this point.

  8. this is a complete new chapter in the middle east, how iran would respond will define it..

  9. This was very unexpected. So much “nothing will happen”, “US won’t join the war”, “they’ll make a deal” was going on until the very end. There were even people saying that the movement of those B2 bombers was standard or something and Trump was still considering it, when it reality I think the decision was made the moment US military assets started converging to the middle east. It was always a matter of “when” not “if”, but a lot of people were led to believe “if”. Pretty crazy. I do wonder, had China and Russia foreseen this? I’m thinking they’d at least give Iran a heads-up, what would be more crazier is if they didn’t foresee this. So those aircraft carriers and jets never were meant to start the attack…Their purpose was to be their when the retaliation comes.

Iran probably just lost their most valuable assets in those sites. Think it was make it or break it for them, they were completely outmatched by Israel and getting a hold of the nuke was the only chance they had against Israel. This will absolutely not go down well, I think they’ll definitely go for US bases and the Hormuz because this is practically the end for them.

  10. If you are going to topple Iran’s regime or take out their nuclear facilities this is the best time. All of Iran’s allies are at their weakest or gone : Russia, Syria, Hezbollah and Hamas. Israel has used most of their assets in Iran to take out Iran’s leadership.

  11. How will this change how US is perceived in the world?
Can we expect meaningful retaliation from Iran?
Can we expect to see escalation from any third parties?

  12. So realistically what is Iran’s options to respond? Forced to peace talks while they rebuild or start lashing out?

  13. Never realized how far Israel was from Iran until today. Both of them would have to cross Iraq, and then Jordan or Syria to have a ground war. Why tf do they even care about each other so much? Don’t they have other problematic bordering countries to worry about??

  14. can somebody explain me how it seems that everyone just can bombard Iran at will?

  15. I don’t really understand the large negative sentiment. No one wants a nuclear armed Iran, right? Years of diplomacy have failed stopping them. What options were left? I imagine Iran equipped with nukes would end much worse in the long run

    Genuinely asking

  16. Now the question is “what’s the off ramp”?
On the one hand the regime desperately needs a way to end this, on the other hand the regime will also need something to save face, if only a little.
The nuclear program was likely sent years backwards, but insisting on the ability to rebuild it might be the regime’s way to signify it’s resilience and mitigate the humiliation.

  17. If those bombs truly knocked out Iran’s nuclear stockpiles and capabilities it will actually stabilize the Middle East because Iran’s force projection va proxies is very weak now. The Sunnis will dominate the space and likely stay close to the west.

But I think the more likely outcome is Iran still has the know-how and some of the materials, which means one day they could still create nuclear weapons, or a dirty bomb.

    Time will tell.

  18. We shall see if the GBU-57s really could penetrate 260ft in the side of mountain to take out the centrifuges.
