Ukraine is scanning faces of dead Russians, then contacting the mothers

  1. the war of the story, it must be won so that the Russian people come out of their “unconsciousness” planned and elaborated by the genocide. Although I believe that Putin and his genocide will only end when he is defeated militarily, the fact that the Russians are aware of how they are being deceived can make things much easier.

  2. Ukraine has had a phone line for Russian families to find the status of their family members and Data base with prisoners and killed. They can’t get information from russian authorities or the soldiers as their phones were confiscated on the 24th Feb. Russian families were expecting them home and de mobbed on the 1st April. The Belarus route for transport 200 became overrun in the first 2 weeks of war. The Russians were then instructed not to collect the dead. Matching name tags is not 100%, they tried a dna matching service but I think that failed.

  3. Ukranians might want to start collecting DNA samples of the corpses as well while registering where they were found and ultimately buried. After the war that kind of information might prove to be a valuable asset in many ways including forensics of criminal investigation.

Althought right now, it might feel too generous considering the inhumane deeds and war crimes of Russian soldiers, they might later on allow the family members of Russian soldiers declared MIA to send their own DNA samples for comparison in order to get confirmation of the deaths of their sons. For the sake of neutrality, they could even outsource the DNA sampling for some foreign company. It seems MyHeritage has an office in Kyiv, so perhaps they could handle the comparison.
