The Moldovan canoeist Serghei Tarnovschi has won the bronze medal in the men’s single canoe event over a distance of 1000 meters, on Saturday, at the European Kayak-Canoe Championships in Racice, Czech Republic, reports IPN.
Tarnovschi completed the podium with a time of 3 minutes, 49 seconds, and 128 milliseconds. The European title was won by the Romanian Cătălin Chirilă, timed at 3 minutes, 46 seconds, and 781 milliseconds, followed by the Czech Martin Fuksa, with 3 minutes, 46 seconds, and 838 milliseconds.
The final of the single canoe race over a distance of 500 meters will take place on Sunday.
At the World Cup in Szeged, Hungary, in May of this year, Serghei Tarnovschi ranked fourth both in the 500-meter race and in the 1000-meter race.
