I found https://commutetimemap.com/map and thought it would be really cool to combine this with FINN so that you can see not only the map areas, but also where available apartments are all on one website.
The result of this idea is my website https://finn.keudn.no/. Simply put in any addresses you have daily commutes to and it will find apartments to rent on FINN that are within that commute. Hover over the pins to see the listing image and title as well as the commute route, and click the pin to be taken to the listing on FINN.
Its not perfect with some small bugs and missing features, but its already proven to be very useful for me and so I felt it was time to share. Its self-hosted locally so don't expect performance or uptime to be stellar. If you want to run it yourself the codebase is here https://github.com/rrweller/finn-apartment-finder

Does the transit select based on real time timetables?
I checked my commute and found my appartment some 20km outside of the zone being drawn. I suspect it’s measuring time taken in transit based on the fact that it’s Sunday today, and you’re not going to get anywhere under an hour.
Looks great, but when your girlfriend asked you to help look for apartments this is not what she meant
