a major barrage launch from Iran at we’re considering that it has been 30 or 40 possibly even 50 missiles It’s still an an event underway The major hospital that was hit is Soroka Hospital in Belva Uh the capital of the Israeli southern desert of the negative was very badly hit Um the hospital uh is asking for no one to come to it Now in addition there were direct missile hits in uh Tel Aviv and in Hollon a nearby city and in Ramadan and possibly in one other site that I haven’t yet been able to identify Um people are still being pulled out from under the wreckages but we know of at least two who are gravely wounded thus far As I said this is still underway and I thought I would still be in the shelter uh as I was gearing up to join you today but we managed to get out uh just in time Um Israel is hitting the heavy water uh reactor in Iraq as far as I know exactly as this was underway here in Israel And uh as you mentioned there Israel is pressing ahead with its own strikes How confident is Benjamin Netanyahu’s government of getting the US to join its assault on Iran the Israeli government is in a very open fullbore campaign to try and persuade Donald Trump We see much of it uh taking place in public Yesterday even the principal opposition to Netanyahu Ya laid the leader of the Israeli opposition put out a video using what has become the government’s messaging line of the last let’s say 24 hours or so And what he said was we trust the president of the United States to do the right thing for the United States and he must join The United States must join the campaign That was the line Netanyahu’s ministers are out there saying uh almost gauding the president to join to uh saying that this is such an important historical event The president will not want to be remembered as having stood on the sidelines That’s the line coming out Interestingly I have to say while it does appear that uh President Trump is very seriously considering this uh let’s call it this Israeli imperative that’s being aimed at him he did um emit two very important nos just yesterday Asked if he had let Netanyahu know that the United States might join his campaign He said no very clearly and asked a secondary question whether he was considering uh launching and the attack Israel really wants and needs the United States for against the deeply embedded nuclear reactor uh in Foraux in Iran He said no adding that that was just one of the places under consideration was a sort of more moderate no But for now we do have two nos from President Trump It asked indirect questions
