I’ve noticed a lot of rentals in Cyprus require inserting part of key into a box for electricity. What are these things called, and is there a way to bypass them? (like you can bypass hotel cards with a folder piece of paper)

Create a copy of the key and leave that one on the slot 😉
This is done so you like never forget your keys basically, i think its smart
