Key Facts
Trump accused Medvedev, the deputy chair of the Security Council of the Russian Federation and former president of Russia from 2008-2012, of âcasually throwing around the âNâ word (Nuclear!)â, writing âthe âN wordâ should not be treated so casually. I guess thatâs why Putinâs âTHE BOSS.ââ
Trump seemingly facetiously asked his social media followers to âlet [him] knowâ if Medvedev really said âhe and other Countries would supply Nuclear Warheads to Iran.â
Trump was responding to a series of tweets from Medvedev over the weekend in which he said âa number of countries are ready to directly supply Iran with their own nuclear warheads,â though he did not say Russia would.
Trump made the statements about Medvedev moments before Iran fired missiles at a U.S. military base in Qatar in retaliation for the U.S. militaryâs attack on three nuclear sites in Iran over the weekend.
Tangent
In the post, Trump also praised the nuclear submarines deployed in Saturdayâs attacks, calling them âthe most powerful and lethal weapons ever builtâ and âfar and away the strongest and best equipment we have.â

Russian President Vladimir Putin condemned the U.S. militaryâs strike on Iranâs nuclear facilities early Monday, calling it an âabsolutely unprovoked act of aggressionâ that âhas no basis or justificationâ following a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in Moscow. Putin said âit is unclear what kind of support would Moscow be willing to provide Iran.â
