This is virtue signalling at its very best. Maybe start with something that would actually make a difference. There are 53 Data Centres in Ireland, 8 under construction and 26 with planning permission and do we hear a single peep about them? Sharing a few bags of turf though!!!

Fine Gael & The Greens are not happy bedfellows
I don’t think she understands what virtue signalling means, and even if she does this is hardly a good example.
This whataboutery is bullshit.
What if developers are made build a data centre in the middle of every new estate, and the excess heat is used to heat the houses for free. Like the amazon data centre in tallaght, that heats some surrounding houses and the hospital.

[Yes](https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-m&channel=ts&q=data+centres+ireland+energy+&oq=data+centres+ireland+energy+&aqs=heirloom-srp..)
She’s grand posting on twitter hosted on one of those data centres though
Ah Regina, head of the Seanad which she previously campaigned to abolish, the person who described Ireland’s relationship with England as ‘800 years of common travel’, the person who doesn’t understand importance of preserving bogland.
Turf stores huge amounts of carbon which is released when its cut. So not only is it’s function as a carbon sink lost it releases emissions when cut and when it’s burned. This constant quibbling with every step towards lower emissions is why we will be totally fucked in 20 years.
Shut up ye dope!
