Elon Musk’s Tesla launched its ambitious Robotaxi service yesterday in Austin, Texas. The autonomous ride-hailing service was rolled out after over a decade of Musk’s promise. Riders pay $4.20 per trip in a geofenced area of the town that has been extensively mapped by the EV company. A handful of first rides were exclusive to influencers and content creators, who were chauffeured in Tesla’s Model Y.

The company is yet to announce Robotaxi’s rollout for the general public in the area. However for now you can enjoy the various Robotaxi videos being shared by beta testers uploaded on X/Twitter. Several of them show the merits of the services but the following one shows one feature every other creator missed.

Dubbed a cheat button by the user, It’s a secret button hidden in plain sight near the front seat on the door’s handle or the safety observer. The user says “we are about to find out what it does cuz apparently they were doing this to be able to do something special.”

The user proceeds to click the button and all goes kaboom. The pristine scene from Austine turns into a nuclear nightmare from the infamous Trinity test

Reacting to the video, Elon Musk dropped a LOL emoji and so does his brother Kimbal Musk.

Meanwhile, the EV giant is opening up a showroom in Mumbai soon in July, with plans of expanding to capital Delhi. However, desi fans are bummed that the company will showcase Made-in-China models of the Tesla vehicles in town.
